Subject Specialisms

All Provider-Led trainees select a subject specialism. The choice of subjects available is currently maths, science, music and PE.

Throughout the year, trainees spend nine days in a specialism placement, under the direction of a subject specialist. Three days per term is allocated to this; trainees spend time in a range of different schools who demonstrate excellence in the chosen subject. Training activities are carefully planned and directed by the appropriate subject lead.
